The Practice
This rural general practice is part of a regionally supported health network, caring for an enrolled population of just under 4,000 patients. It is staffed by a collaborative team of GPs, nurse prescribers, registered nurses, midwives, health coaches, and community health providers. The clinic features consulting rooms, a treatment room, and a dedicated emergency room. GPs typically see 18–22 patients per day, with protected admin time and established acute care protocols.
Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with family-friendly weekday hours, 8:30am to 5:30pm, shared Saturday clinics only once every 9 weeks, and the flexibility to take part in a weekly rotating satellite clinic for added variety. This 6-month minimum contract includes the option to extend or transition to a permanent role. Relocation support, accommodation, and a vehicle are provided, along with visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. Essential Criteria
In order to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, you must either have practised in a comparable health system for at least 33 months (for at least 30 hours per week) of the 48 months prior to application OR have a primary medical degree from the UK or Ireland and have completed your internship within the UK or Ireland.
