If you seek to claim over the $150 accommodation/car hire daily allowance the attached OCE Calculator needs to be completed and returned together with cost evidence. Out of Contract Costs will only be sent to executive once for approval. Amended costs due to “price increase” will not be considered. These requests must be: • received 2 weeks prior to locum commencement (if possible) • submitted with evidence (quotes) All decisions regarding expenses are up to the discretion of the Executive Director and are final. Travel Allowance • The Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service will reimburse on invoice with proof of receipt one (1) direct economy class return airfare up to $1000.00 AUD per contract, exclusive of GST. • When it is appropriate for the locum to drive to take up a locum assignment a kilometric allowance of 37.5 cents will be paid in accordance with Queensland Health HR Policy D4. • Combination of airfare, exclusive of GST and kilometric allowance, no GST to maximum value of $1000.00. • Original receipts for air travel must be submitted with invoice. • Claims for kilometric allowance, must be indicated separately on invoice (i.e. rate 37.5c per kilometre x amount of kilometres travelled). • Access to one (1) return economy class return airfare or kilometric allowance reimbursement back to the locum’s primary base at the completion of each period of six (6) weeks may be negotiated and will be subject to approval by the Executive Delegate. • Where locum medical practitioners, appointed for extended contracts, choose to, fly in and fly out for rostered block, they may make for application for additional flights subject to executive delegate approval. • Where locum medical practitioners, appointed for overarching or extended contracts, are requested by WBHHS to attend a rostered block of work, the HHS will reimburse, on invoice with proof of receipt, one (1) direct economy class return airfare up to $1000 AU per rostered block of work, exclusive of GST. • Land travel to and from the departing airport is the Doctor’s responsibility.
