This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys clinical work but also wants to be involved in the training and teaching of future health professionals. = The Hospital = This 460-bed hospital is the largest tertiary health service in northern Australia and is a major tertiary referral facility, serving a population of roughly 600,000 people. It is a teaching hospital for students from the universities in the local area and offers a supportive environment for employees in a progressive workplace. Every service in this hospital is committed to the continual review and development of both its operation and its staff. The Hospital provides complex, high level services across a wide range of specialities including psychiatry, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, adult and paediatric ICU, general surgery, medicine, radiation and medical oncology, transplant haematology, paediatrics, obstetrics and neonatology to the North Queensland region. It also includes a 75 bay emergency department (ED) which is of the biggest in Queensland. The building also includes a 34 bed maternity unit and an expanded intensive care unit. = The Location = This vibrant region is the largest urban centre north of the Sunshine Coast.
