You will consult with mental health professionals and health service providers including GP's and other agencies, on the assessment and treatment of psychiatric patients. A part of your role includes undertaking supervisory responsibilities with registrars, CMOs, RMOs, and other medical staff as required. Available roles at the health service include roles based in: • Community-based mental health service, including the acute care stream, continuing care stream, and mental health hospital in home with more services in development. • The acute general adult mental health inpatient unit in a hospital setting. • The general adult consultation-liaison psychiatric service in the hospital and associated facilities, including the ED and mental health short-stay unit. = The Hospital = The state-wide mental health services are a leading innovator providing a comprehensive range of mental health, addiction treatment, forensic mental health, and correctional healthcare services across Tasmania.
