This is typically a 4 GP clinic and the Drs work a 3 on 1 off roster, with a min of 2 GP's on at any one time. The GP's who work here have done so for several years in a FIFO capacity. The community is located approximately 500kms east of Darwin (road access cut off during the Wet season), and is serviced by twice daily air flights. The population of around 3,000 comprises town residents and traditionally-based out-stations, of which there are more than 30. You will provide primary medical services with a holistic approach to health care that includes care planning and case conferences with patients who have chronic disease. At times you will be responsible for the coordination of medical retrieval and patient travel services. NCRC and Ochre Card required. Manual Drivers License, Immunisations req and ALS preferred but BLS accepted.
