The Position

This rural referral hospital is on the lookout for a committed staff specialist to join the team within the Emergency department. The hospital is looking for a doctor that is committed to providing high quality care to patients visiting from within the local community. You will be required to collaborate and work alongside a team of dedicated doctors to ensure quality standards are upheld. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership and teaching skills as you will be responsible for educating and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Hospital

The hospital is a 99-bed rural referral hospital which provides acute health care services to the surrounding population. This hospital is a teaching hospital which commenced training undergraduate medical students in 2008.

Set high on the beautiful Northern Tablelands, the region offers a diversity of outdoor activities from bushwalking in the vast and spectacular gorge country, to trout and fly fishing, fossicking and horse riding. The area is known for its beautiful, tree lined streets and magnificent autumn colours. You can enjoy alfresco cafes, impressive architecture, and a thriving arts & cultural environment. Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FACEM specialist qualifications and hold registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Physician.
