{salesforcedeleted=false, avtrrt__job_publish_tiny_url__c=https://wavelengthprod.page.link/CHuz, avtrrt__job_postal_code__c=2298, avtrrt__job_city__c=Newcastle, sub_specialty___medicine=[General Medicine], id=15995022648, avtrrt__job_state__c=NSW, job_title=Medicine - General Unaccredited Registrar, avtrrt__street_address__c=Corner Edith and Platt Streets,Waratah, avtrrt__job_description_rich__c==The Position= An exciting Full time opportunity on offer for two Unaccredited Medical Registrars to work in an acute clinical setting, supporting the General Medical staff specialists. =Key Accountabilities= • Demonstrate competency in the care of patients in a general internal medicine service, • Participate in a co-operative and productive role in the provision of patient care as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team, including attendance at regular meetings. • Accompany consultants and teams on daily rounds, attend meetings and discussions required for the provision of patient care. • Liaise closely with senior colleagues in matters of patient diagnosis, progress, results and management. • Notify the consultant, in a timely manner of any significant changes in a patients’ condition or situation including deaths. • Communicate clearly and appropriately with all staff, patients and significant other persons involved in each episode of care provision, patient condition and management. =Essential Criteria= • MBBS or equivalent, currently hold full registration or eligible for full registration with the Medical Board of Australia (the position is not suitable for those with Limited registration). • Suitable for applicants with approval for Provisional registration under the Competent Authority Pathway who require 12 months supervised practice. • Have at least 3 years post graduate experience including experience in general medicine or hospital medicine within the Australian Healthcare system, or equivalent health system. • Proven satisfactory clinical performance, supported by submissions of two current referees. • Participate in clinical duties as per Key Accountabilities or as arranged by the Director of General Medicine and other consultants • Complete Mandatory training including Basic Life Support.
