You will work with a well-established team of 14 consultant medical staff, 4 accredited cardiology advanced trainees and 2 unaccredited cardiology advanced trainees in addition to basic physician trainees and other junior medical officers. You will establish effective communication with the wider multidisciplinary team which includes specialist nursing staff, cardiac physiologists, cardiac sonographers, administrative staff, and the cardiac rehabilitation team. The Cardiology department also works closely with the cardiothoracic surgical unit. Duties include: •Contributing to direct cardiology inpatient care, patient consultant requests and request form other units. •Participation in on-call rosters for the Cardiology service. •Contribute to regular teaching and training of Cariology Advanced trainees and the multidisciplinary clinical team. =The Hospital= The coronary care unit is a 19-bed unit which has over 2000 admissions annually, the outpatient cardiology service provides up to 4,500 episodes of care annually with demand increasing each year. Redevelopments scheduled for completion in 2024 will see a state-of-the-art Heart Care Centre, incorporate Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery services in an Acute Cardiac Care Unit and Interventional Cardiology Laboratory. =The Location= This cosmopolitan city provides the perfect lifestyle for you and your family, offering community living, excellent education systems and a low crime rate.
