The laboratory facilities are modern and a broad range of pathology services are offered to local practitioners and hospitals. The Laboratory has an interesting mix of Histo and Cyto pathology.  There is extensive interaction with local specialists via regular clinicopathologic meetings including breast, urology, oncology, haematology and dermatology.  They are the major anatomical pathology provider for both Public and Private Hospitals, private clinics and radiology practices in the region.    You will be joining a team of pathologists interested in providing an expert local service in their community.  There are currently over 200 Pathologists within the Group. They are accredited for registrar training in anatomical pathology with all pathologists taking part in their education.  In house departmental meetings contribute to both registrar training and continuing education requirements.  Sub specialisation and research leading to scientific publications and presentations at national and international meetings is encouraged.   The Group is also involved in the faculty and will encourage new pathologists to take part in teaching and research with the local University and ideally spending 2 days per week with them.   == The Location == == The Location == is a short drive or train trip from Sydney?s southern suburbs and has a population of 250,000.  It is an outstanding part of Australia to live in with beautiful beaches, access to outdoor activities and a relaxed atmosphere.  Alternatively, its proximity to Sydney also allows commuting on a daily basis.     == Essential Criteria == All applicants must have undertaken at least 12 months paid work (not externship or clinical attachment/ observership) in one of these regions: Australia, NZ, UK, Ireland, Western Europe, Canada, USA or South Africa.
