=The Role= As a Registrar in Emergency Medicine, you will provide direct clinical services across two Emergency Departments, developing your clinical skills with the provision of high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team of medical, surgical, anaesthetic, paediatric and psychiatric colleagues plus senior and nursing staff. You will report to the Director via the senior staff, and assess, investigate, treat and review patients admitted to the department for acute management. While on duty, you will be a member of the Medical Emergency Team (MET) and respond to such calls. The Consultants working in the department will provide clinical leadership, teaching and training opportunities for your ongoing development. In turn, you will provide support and supervision to Junior Medical Staff and Medical Students.  =The Hospital= Servicing approximately 250,000 residents, this major regional trauma centre provides a wide range of accessible healthcare services to the community. The hospital is split across two campuses, with two Emergency Departments. One department consists of 20 treatment areas including 4 consulting rooms, a plaster room, an eye room, 12 general cubicles and 2 resuscitation beds and receives 35,000 presentations annually. The second department consists of 8 treatment areas with a capacity to house 12 patients. It has 2 resuscitation rooms and receives 32,000 presentations annually. =The Location= You will be based in a growing, vibrant and tranquil destination, with plenty to explore. This region also boasts an active cultural and art scene, high quality sporting facilities and ample choices with regards to education. =Essential Criteria= You will have current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) or be eligible for registration, with experience from a comparable health care system such as New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA. You will have at least two years clinical experience, including six months in Emergency Medicine.
