The service provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for ages 16 years and above, through community mental health services and hospitals. With the option of working at an inner-city tertiary hospital providing inpatient care, or within the Mental Health Emergency Centre (MHEC) or at one of three community services, this role offers the chance to find a role that suits your expertise and special interests. In addition, doctors participate in several state-wide services that include the State Aboriginal Mental Health Service (SAMHS), Mobile Community Outreach Team (MCOT) and Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL). In this role you will contribute to patient safety and quality of care while providing leadership, supervision, and training to doctors in training and registrars on the RANZCP training program.
