The Director of Medical Oncology will provide strategic and operational leadership in the provision of Medical Oncology services across Peter Mac and clinical leadership in Medical Oncology across the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre precinct. The Director will work collaboratively with colleagues throughout Peter Mac and across the Precinct to ensure safe and timely access to high quality Medical Oncology services. As a member of senior staff, the appointee will provide leadership in achieving and upholding Peter Mac’s Vision and Values as well as the Strategic Priorities and promoting the vision and benefits of the Clinical Services Operating model. We are seeking an outstanding and experienced leader with international recognition of their research. Selection criteria include: Specialist registration with AHPRA Fellowship of the Australasian College of Physicians in medical oncology and compliance with Continuing Professional Development requirements Strong academic track record in education and research Possess a post-graduate university research degree Recognised as a professional leader in the field Strong leadership skills Strategic thinking and planning abilities Well-developed communication, negotiation and presentation skills Proven track record of excellence in clinical service delivery with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and collaboration Experience in the implementation of quality improvement, work practice reform and change within a large organisation The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Whilst this is ideally a full time position, there is flexibility available for a 4 day per week position, and the possibility for part time or job share.
