Working within the multidisciplinary mental health team the consultant psychiatrist will provide assessment of individuals who present to the Emergency Department with mental health disorders. Supervisory responsibilities include supervision and teaching of psychiatrist registrars, and other medical staff as required and appropriate. = The Hospital = The hospital is a the largest in Tasmania and a major referral centre services provided include acute, sub-acute mental health, aged care inpatient, and ambulatory services. With links to the University of Tasmania the hospital is a major clinical teaching and research centre.
