You will provide a high quality clinical service to hospital patients under supervision within a multi-disciplinary team, to review the general medical needs of the patients. With no emergency department within the hospital it is a generalist role. The Hospital This hospital is a Tier 1 provider of hospital services to the community, especially the local veterans. The hospital is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and provides a diverse range of specialties and services including surgical, general medicine and rehabilitation. There is a Day Procedure Centre, Post-Natal Unit (with elective caesarean), dedicated Children?s Ward and Sleep Studies area. == The Location == This thriving regional city is home to 41,000 residents and the total catchment area has a population of roughly 120,000 people. It is a popular tourist destination given its central location only a four and a half hour?s drive from Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra. There is also a great range of properties available for rent or purchase. == Essential Criteria == To be successful in applying for this position you must have current general registration with AHPRA. You must be familiar with the Australian health care system and an interest in general medicine. Salary: $100,000 - $130,000.
