Your key responsibilities will include providing and establishing a safe, efficient and effective Palliative Care Consultancy Service. Day to day responsibilities will include in providing medical care to terminally ill patients in both in-patient facilities and within the community. You will partake in quality activities for continuous service improvement and contribute to the enhancement of professional development within the team. This is a full-time position which requires a commitment to ongoing education, research, and teaching opportunities.  The Hospital The health service provides acute care in relation to specialised medicine and surgery, intensive care and emergency services, children?s services, maternity services, and mental health services. Services are also provided in rehabilitation, palliative care, and aged care. The hospital you will work in is a large, modern, 280-bed primary acute and extended care facility with four theatres, in-house MRI and CT services and a state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratory.  This is an exciting time to join this service as it moves towards being one of the largest regional health services just outside Melbourne.  == The Location == Located a leisurely two hour drive from Melbourne, you'll be living in a city with all the facilities you'd expect from a fast-growing area.
