You will be required to provide expert clinical services for the department and to be confident in arranging, supervising and coordinating the admission of patients for inpatient care. This is a 100% Gastroenterology position with no ERCP requirements. Any subspecialty interests can be accommodated and with the University of Tasmania's rural clinical school based on site there is the opportunity to be further involved in academics and teaching. The Health Service You will be working at an innovative and dynamic health service that has a range of facilities to provide the best care for their patients, including two acute hospitals, three district hospitals and seven community health centres. The main acute hospital is a 160 bed accredited teaching hospital with an attached rural clinical school and a 70 bed private facility. The second acute hospital is located 60kms away and is a 130 bed community hospital. The health service provides high quality health care and specialist services to a combined catchment area of 100,000 people.  The health service has a great sense of community and camaraderie, with strong social and professional networks.
