The Health Service District services an area of some 300 000 square kilometres, and provides care for many of the remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria.   A rare opportunity is available now for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the multi-disciplinary and innovative Allied Health team.   The staff at the hospital are friendly and welcoming, like the community orientated town staff work well in a team and are helpful.   The Occupational therapy role is provided by a sole practitioner with the support of a Allied Health assistant, it is to provide general and specialist services to a wide range of Inpatients in the base hospital and to outpatients in Mount Isa?s community.   Experience required will include paediatrics, hand therapy, physical rehab, burns, home assessments and equipment prescription.
