Average GP annual earnings are between $300,000 and $350,000 at present.  Clinic opening hours are: 9am ? 5pm Monday to Friday with at least one hour off at lunch time, and one morning or afternoon off each week. You will work only one Saturday shift from 9am ? 12pm each 2 months. An interest/ qualifications in Accidental and Emergency Medicine would be beneficial. You will take part in an on-call roster provided by over 30 GPs. This will include a weekday shift between 6pm and 8pm every 6 weeks and a 4 hour weekend day shift every 3 months as well as one overnight emergency on-call shift every 6 weeks. The current 16 GPs at the mixed-billing practices are supported by a friendly team of registered nurses, receptionists, psychologists, dieticians, practice managers and a CEO - all are available whenever required. This group currently operates 3 practices within Toowoomba and is looking to add 2 more practices within the Toowoomba region in 2009. They are also partnering with a hospital group to develop 3 more practices in the Brisbane and Springfield areas by 2010. == The Location == Toowoomba is a picturesque mountain city located in south east Queensland some 127km west of the states capital, Brisbane.
