Here you will provide safe, efficient and effective endocrine services to patients in the hospital. Endocrinology and Diabetes clinics along with diabetes in pregnancy clinics are all well-established and supported. There are also diabetes nurse practitioners with prescribing rights. You will be required to join the general medical on call. The Medical Unit has 32 beds and the general medical requirements of the role are limited and shared with: 1 general physician, 1 chest physician, 1 general physician with an interest in oncology, 2 medical oncologists, 1 rheumatologist and 1 cardiologist. You will also be expected to actively participate in Junior Medical Officer training giving you the opportunity to share your skills and knowledge.  The Hospital The health service provides acute care in relation to specialised medicine and surgery, intensive care and emergency services, children?s services, maternity services, and mental health services. Services are also provided in rehabilitation, palliative care, and aged care. The hospital you will work in is a large, modern, 280-bed primary acute and extended care facility with four theatres, in-house MRI and CT services and a state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratory.  This is an exciting time to join this service as it moves towards being one of the largest regional health services just outside Melbourne.  == The Location == Located a leisurely two hour drive from Melbourne, you'll be living in a city with all the facilities you'd expect from a fast-growing area.
