It is the regional trauma and tertiary referral centre and the only level one trauma centre in New South Wales outside of Metropolitan Sydney. The hospital provides primary and tertiary trauma services in the only combined adult and paediatric trauma centre in state. Annually it delivers 4,000 babies, performs 216,000 outpatient services and 12,200 operations in 9 operating theatres. == The Location == Located 2 and a half hours north of Sydney, this coastal city has great beaches, lush bush land reserves, several café and restaurant precincts and a vibrant calendar of visiting tours and performers. This city has a wide range of education options for all ages. There are 150 public primary schools, 53 private primary schools, 37 public secondary schools and 29 private secondary schools in the region.
