You will be involved in ensuring safe clinical practice is being upheld by junior staff and other relevant staff through supervision and education. You will participate in the on call roster1:4. The Hospital This 100 bed facility is a level 3/4 base hospital that provides care to over 12,500 patients every year. The hospital provides acute medical, surgical, orthopaedics, paediatric, geriatric, maternity, high dependency, renal, oncology, palliative care, emergency, some specialist outpatient services and day surgery facilities. 500 births take place annually in the hospital's three delivery suites. A Level 4 service is offered with babies delivered up to 34 weeks. == The Location == The city is located 40km from the coast and has an extremely beautiful centre characterised by wide streets and elegant Victorian buildings. It is a two and a half hour drive from Brisbane and it is one of Australia's most stately country cities. This city has all the facilities you can expect from a contemporary metropolis and can be reached by road, rail and air. There are public and private schooling options and the local TAFE provides certificate and diploma level courses. With a good range of affordable housing to purchase and rent, this country side location has become home to a population of approximately 20,000 people.
