Within the department you will work with 2 registrars on rotations and 2 interns. Private Practice arrangements are available should this be of interest.   ==The Hospital== Located 3 hours from Melbourne, you will be working in the major referral centre of the area, serving a catchment population of approx. 50,000 people.    The Hospital has a strong commitment to quality assurance and has been continuously accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards for 25 years.     It has some 7,000 admissions a year and offers specialist services in anaesthetics, general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, on-site pathology and radiology (including CT), as well visiting services in ENT, ophthalmology, oncology, geriatrics, urology, oral surgery, orthopaedics, dermatology and psychiatry.  The facility also has a number of visiting specialists from other locations, who provide consulting and surgery services to people of the town. These include Ear, Nose & Throat, Oncology, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics.    ==== The Location ==== You will reside in a lively city, centrally located in the region, with excellent opportunities for shopping, dining, entertainment and accommodation.    You can enjoy the beautiful Botanic Gardens, designed by Guilfoyle, who laid out Melbourne?s Botanic Gardens, and stroll amongst the ancient red gums lining the Wimmera River, running through the centre of town.
