With a new hospital planned in the near future, this position offers an ideal opportunity to help shape the surgical services in the area and your input will be warmly welcomed. With close teaching hospital links there is ample opportunity to take on a university appointment for lecturing or research, which the health service supports and encourages. ==The Hospital== You will be working in a 70-bed acute care district hospital. On site hospital facilities include a 24 hour 3 bay Emergency Department, 6-bed High Dependency Unit (two beds of which are ventilated) , 5-bed Obstetric Unit, 7-bed Paediatric ward, 22-bed Medical ward, 20-bed Surgical ward, 5 day only beds and 2 Operating Theatres.   ==== The Location ==== The unspoilt beauty of the southern part of NSW boasts an abundance of national parks, untouched beaches, rivers and mountains offering a rich natural environment to explore.
