These roles will primarily be responsible for delivering a high standard of direct clinical care to patients within the hospital and the community.   The roles will also be required to actively contribute to paediatric service direction and planning and the effective management of resources. These are diverse and rewarding positions.  To be successful in your candidacy you will have demonstrated clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills extending across the broad range of paediatric medicine.  The Hospital This hospital is a 71-bed facility which services a population of 65,000 people. The hospital offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services. Located in the grounds of the hospital is a multidisciplinary community health and community mental health service along with oral health services. The hospital has adopted an integrated approach to service delivery to ensure continuity, effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of care.  Annually the hospital sees 25,000 presentations at the Emergency Department, has 6,400 general admissions and delivers 504 babies. Over 12,000 patients annually access nutrition, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, cardiac rehabilitation, aged and disability services and Indigenous services.  == The Location == Located in the centre of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, this region has a sub-tropical climate with islands, waterways and beaches right on your doorstep.
