Within this role, you will provide leadership within the specialty that has allocated funding for 4 FTEs, 7 registrars, 4 interns and 3 RMOs, the department and staff numbers can all be negotiated and defined by you. Fractional appointments can be considered across both sites at The Fiona Stanley Hospital and Fremantle Hospital. == The Position == will report to appropriate FH Co-Director.   Allocated theatre time will include 6 elective sessions and 10 emergency sessions. You will also have access to the plastic surgery roster. Previous management experience is not an essential requirement; however you will be a natural leader with an enthusiasm for excellence coupled with the qualities above will ensure success in the role. You will receive optimal support to be successful in this role. Your peers and colleagues in the department will welcome you and you will receive significant support from the Service Co-Directors. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary package with an additional payment for taking part in the allocated roster.   ==The Hospital== FSH is a 783-bed hospital and will rank among the best in Australia and will include the 140-bed State rehabilitation service, a 30-bed purpose-built mental health unit and the State burns service. This will be the major tertiary hospital in the south metropolitan area and will meet the growing needs of communities south of Perth and across the State. As well as delivering comprehensive clinical services, the hospital will be a leader in research and education. In addition, the service will have the most advanced medical equipment and state-of-the-art information and communications technology. The hospital has been designed to have a healing and therapeutic effect on patients and 83 per cent of patient rooms are single occupancy, offering increased comfort and privacy. ==== The Location ==== As Australia?s sunniest capital city, Perth embraces a relaxed outdoor lifestyle.
