The medical imaging department currently has 3 full time staff.   == The Location ==: Situated 300kms south of Darwin this population of the town is approximately 10,000 and has all the required facilities to suit your needs. The region sets the scene for some real Territory-style adventure.   It is a relatively remote destination with abundant waterways including gorges, rivers waterfalls and the ocean. It's these characteristics that offers a fantastic outdoor lifestyle and attract an influx of adventure seekers all year round.   This is the perfect base for exploring the Gulf region, the southern part of Kakadu National Park and the Victoria River region, day trips can be taken to gold mining heritage sites, tropical thermal pools, premier fishing holiday destinations, gorges, rivers and there are many excellent four-wheel drive tracks and camping spots.   The Job: Ideally the hospital is looking for a qualified Sonographer for a permanent position in the long term; however they currently have an urgent requirement to cover on a locum basis commencing 23rd November.  The role will include theatre, emergency on-call and mobile ultrasound in the aboriginal community clinics.
