You will work in partnership with the Service Director to lead Clinical Governance and provide oversight of the operational and financial governance of Aged and Palliative Care Services. Your key responsibilities will be clinical, operational and medical workforce management. There are excellent opportunities available for involvement in teaching, education and research and you will have the opportunity to make full use of your considerable training and leadership skills.   The Hospital You will be working in a recently redeveloped and upgraded 750 bed referral hospital that services a population of approximately 500,000 people. The hospital provides high quality treatment for patients while also offering world class facilities for health research and teaching. It is the largest clinical and research facility in Australia and for health students, the training environment is second to none.   The hospital provides has state-of-the-art facilities and provides clinical services in medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, mental health, paediatrics, emergency medicine with aeroretrieval, intensive care, palliative care, anaesthetics, allied health, ambulatory and outpatient. New services include radiotherapy, neuroscience and cardiac surgery. The hospital has 20 operating theatres and the emergency department is four times larger than the previous emergency department, and is supported by a new medical assessment unit.   == The Location == The hospital is located 80 kilometres south of Brisbane in a very popular tourist destination.
