The current five GPs are supported by a team of five registered nurses, one of whom are present at all times from Monday - Friday. Newcastle today is a modern thriving centre and is Australia's sixth most populated city. == Essential Criteria == In order to be eligible for this exciting role, International Medical Graduates are required to hold post graduate qualifications in General Practice (i.e. FRACGP, FRNZCGP, MRCGP, MICGP or CCFP), or alternatively hold General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). General Practitioners who have recognised post graduate qualifications from New Zealand, the UK, Ireland or Canada are eligible for reciprocal recognition with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Wavelength International will assist you with the required regulatory and immigration process.
