Working within a multi-disciplinary team and based in Alice Springs the role will take you out to the bush for one week at a time.   == The Location ==: Based in Alice Springs you will get to experience remote parts of the Northern Territory most will never see! The Job: 70% of the role will be carrying out assessments for all age groups, understandably you will experience a wide variety of caseloads so a broad depth of knowledge is required. You may also be required to assist your co-workers in liaising with local councils on a range of problems encountered while out in the bush, ie water, sanitation etc.   To be eligible for this position: We are looking for an experienced Speech Therapist who has ideally worked with people with disabilities in the community and preferably with indigenous people, although this is not compulsory. Essentially you will be confident in your work and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and experience, a team player is also essential. A drivers license is compulsory and you will undergo 4WD training.   The locum will be for 6 months minimum to start ASAP.    Salary: All air fares will be reimbursed, accommodation will be paid for in the initial few weeks.
