This is a unique and popular vacancy working in a QLD Correctional Centre.   They have a requirement from 8 November ongoing, and will consider any dates up until the end of the year. You will be required to work 8.30am-4pm, 4 days per week: either Mon-Thurs or Tues - Fri.    Hourly rate is $136.90 for a VR doctor, and the on call hourly rate (any time you are not in the prison) is $11.08 - accommodation, flights and car will be provided for the duration of your locum.   The Job   The job will involve general practice work only, in a dedicated health centre based inside the prison. This is a great opportunity for doctors with an interest in psych or drug/alcohol dependency. You will be on call nights and weekends (phone queries only, you will not be called in to the prison - so you do not need to stay in the town).   == The Location ==   The prison is located in a scenic south-east Queensland town with a population of about 20,000.
