Rates: Negotiable depending on experience (usually around $2000 per day for 24/hr on call over weekends). You would need to complete NSW Health credentialing paperwork for this post if not already completed.   Travel (between Syd and Port Macquarie only) and accommodation provided. You will be on call 24/7 to the hospital to admit patients, review inpatients and provide support to the ED as required.   The hospital: This District Memorial Hospital has 32 beds and offers the following services: Birthing centre, Accident/emergency, Day surgery, Dental care, Geriatric assessment, Aged care, HIV/AIDS, Home care, Medical, Medical library, Mental health, Anaesthetics, Occupational therapy, Ophthalmology, Paediatric, Palliative care, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Psychiatric, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Social work, Speech therapy, Surgical, Women?s health. The town has a population of around 6000, and Port Macquarie is the nearest referral centre (around half an hour away by road).
