A 3 bedroom house, car and flights will be provided. The accommodation is a 5 minute walk or 1 minute drive from the hospital.   You must be comfortable working solo and being oncall 24/7 starting at 9am. There may be another GP working alongside you depending on the roster. == The Practice == is located inside the hospital and features four consulting rooms. == The Practice == is open 7 days a week. Monday ?Friday 9am-1pm, 2pm ? 5pm. Weekends and public holidays are 2pm-5pm. GPs usually complete ward rounds from 8.30am-9.00am before their first appointment in the clinic. They use Medical Director and Pracsoft.   The nurses in the hospital triage presentations at the ED - non-emergency patients are directed to the clinic to make an appointment during opening hours. Only, in the case of an emergency outside clinic opening hours (the nurses cannot deal with), a nurse calls the doctor on-call.   On average the on-call doctor may get one to two calls in a day or night - but often not any. RFDS retrievals are sometimes required but not often - about once every couple of months. Hospital staff are well trained in retrievals and make the arrangements required.   Visiting specialists include a dietician, a diabetes educator, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, optometrist, chiropractor, mental health workers (fortnightly), podiatrist and speech pathologist. The nearest birthing facilities are over 250 km away. GPs and midwives assist with treatment and care. There is another medical centre in the town.   == The Location == This safe and family focussed mining town is semi-isolated but very modern with excellent leisure, culture and recreational facilities.
