There are twelve GPs currently some of which work part time, balancing out to an equivalent of six full-time GPs. Two dedicated nurses are available at all times and a team of seven reception and administrative staff provide admin support. Staff and GP meetings are being held regularly providing opportunities to get to know your colleagues better and discuss interesting cases. == The Practice == is currently building an extension which will add a further ten rooms to accommodate growing patient numbers and include additional allied health services on-site. This is to be completed by March 2013. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm with Wednesdays open until 8pm. Saturday and Sunday is rostered once every four weeks from 8am to midday which means you will have plenty of time to explore Newcastle and its picturesque surroundings and beaches. This practice values their staff and so is very flexible in terms of holiday leave. == The Location == This practice is located 2 hours north of Sydney in beautiful Newcastle, the second largest city in New South Wales. It is a city of rich history, quirky culture and amazing scenery. Beaches, countryside, bushland and cityscape, it has something for everyone! Paddling out past the breakers of one of Newcastle?s surf beaches at sunrise for a life changing experience comes highly recommended so why not give it a go before heading into work. Schools and universities are plentiful. == Essential Criteria == In order to be eligible for this exciting role, International Medical Graduates are required to hold post graduate qualifications in General Practice (i.e. FRACGP, FRNZCGP, MRCGP, MICGP or CCFP). General Practitioners who have one of the above recognised post graduate qualifications are eligible for reciprocal recognition with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Wavelength International will assist you with the required regulatory and immigration process.
