The role is due to start in December 2012 on a 12 month fixed term contract.   The Hospital This state of the art university teaching hospital serves a catchment population of over 100,000. With a $70 million redevelopment in 2004 you can be sure that you will be working in a state of the art facility, with modern technology such as an electronic patient management system (iPM).   Annually the 181 bed hospital sees 30,000 presentations in the Emergency Department, performs 6,000 operations, delivers 1,300 babies and provides 58,000 outpatient services.   The Hospital provides acute Medical and Surgical Services, Outpatient Clinics, Day Procedures, 24-hour Emergency Department, Laboratory facilities, Medical Imaging, Specialist Paediatric, Maternity, Rehabilitation and Therapy Services, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy facilities for the region.   == The Location == Located in New Zealand?s southernmost city, you will be situated on the south eastern tip of the South Island.
