You will work alongside 2 Staff Specialists, 3 VMO's (Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology & Vascular Surgery), 2 advanced trainee registrars, 2 HMO's and 3 interns. You will be required to participate in the on call roster and have the opportunity to be involved in teaching and research at the local University giving you the chance to share your skills and knowledge. The Hospital You will be working in a 146 bed, level 1 tertiary teaching hospital that services a population of 60,000 in a catchment area of 100,000. On offer to the people of the town are a comprehensive range of services. This includes emergency, maternity, intensive care, general medicine and surgery, medical imaging, pathology, dialysis, mental health (inpatient and community services) and a range of ambulatory services. == The Location == You will be living in the beautiful wine belt region of North West Victoria. Located on the banks of the pristine Murray River this town has a population of approximately 80,000 and is approximately 600 kilometres from Melbourne and 380 kilometres from Adelaide. Getting to the cities isn?t an issue with several daily air services to Adelaide and Melbourne that take approximately 1 hour.   The bustling regional town is a popular tourist destination so there are plenty of activities for you to do in your spare time. All of your culinary desires can be satisfied on ?Feast Street? with numerous restaurants, cafes and bars for you to enjoy.
