There would be no on-call for this particular day.   Provisions: Travel - mileage reimbursement if driving or if they need to be collected from the airport, this can also be arranged.   They will reimburse travel (from Sydney), provide accommodation and a car. Approx 90 min drive from Sydney airportPayment is either via ABN invoice or payroll. Hospital indemnity provided.   The Hospital Bowral & District Hospital ED is a semi-rural hospital about an hour and a half from Sydney. Nearest major hospital is Campbelltown (50mins), then Liverpool (60mins). The doctors in our ED are mostly regular experienced casual/locum staff. The ED Director has resigned recently and recruitment activity is underway. There are generally 2-3 doctors on in ED, except at night (2200-0800hr), when there is only one. While there is good on-call back-up by specialists (General and Orthopaedic Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, Anaesthetics, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics) there are only a few Staff Specialists at the hospital during the day (General Medicine, Paediatrics, Geriatrics). GP/VMOs take on the Admitting Officer role.     == The Location ==   Bowral has become the bourgeois capital of the Southern Highlands, and as such, hosts many boutique stores, restaurants, and a hell of a lot of cafes.
