Permanent part time position This position is based at the Werribee Mercy Hospital, a 200-plus bed hospital located in the rapidly growing western region of Melbourne in the centre of one of Australia's fastest growing suburban growth corridors. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in expanding our surgical services in response to increasing population demands. The successful applicant will be able to provide elective and emergency general surgical services. Laparoscopic and endoscopy (ie. gastroscopy and colonoscopy) skills are essential. As the sixth member of the general surgical team, you will participate in the on-call schedule. Serviced private/public consulting suites are provided on site. There will be opportunity to provide formal undergraduate and postgraduate training. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to participate in MPHI administrative activity. To be successful you will need: ? Current Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the AHPRA ? Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, or equivalent ? Member of the Australian Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy) ? Evidence of your scope of clinical practice ?
