Dates Required: 0800 Friday 15 April till 0800 Monday 18 April 0800 Friday 22 April till 0800 Wednesday 27 April (Easter long weekend) - rate negotiable 0800 Friday 29 April till 0800 Monday 2 May 0800 Friday 27 May till 0800 Monday 30 May 0800 Friday 24 June till 0800 Monday 27 June The Hospital You will be working in a 60-bed district acute rural hospital providing medicine, surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics, emergency services and a high dependency/coronary care unit at level 3/4.  General surgeons and general practitioners make up the majority of the medical staff.  Sub-specialties available include oncology, anaesthetics, obstetrics and gynaecology, with access to an orthopaedic surgeon, general physician, cardiologist and geriatrician in the community.  There are no junior medical staff posts. The hospital provides a helicopter retrieval service for trauma, intensive care and other patients who require urgent admission to a tertiary referral hospital.  == The Location == == The Location == is situated on the banks of a beautiful river, and is a traditional country town with an easy, relaxed lifestyle.  It has been preserved and restored with a number of historic buildings that can be seen as passing through the main streets of the town.  Many of the old buildings are made from local granite that was also used to form the pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and many other famous Sydney buildings.
