There are twenty-two specialist clinics with a total of almost 100 consultation rooms cater to the outpatient needs of the community.   THE JOB The hospital currently has a need for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. The A&E Department?s primary role is to provide quality acute care to the community. The department is resourced to manage acute medical conditions, surgical emergencies, injuries and major trauma. Emergency x-rays, CT scans and specialised radiological studies are provided by the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. A team approach is adopted with in-house surgical and medical specialists in the event of a major trauma or resuscitation. The hospital also provides the much needed aftercare service by nurses following up the wellbeing of the patient. In the year 2007 alone, over 68,000 patients were seen in the A&E department.                 To be considered you will be required to have a specialist qualification recognised by the Specialist Accreditation Board as well as the Singapore Medical Council. Typically, postgraduate training and specialist qualifications from UK & Ireland, US & Canada, Australia & New Zealand are considered.   International Medical Graduates are required to produce evidence of proficiency in English Language to the Singapore Medical Council if their basic medical degree is from a medical school where the medium of instruction is not English.   Our clients in Singapore typically offer a renewable 1 to 3 year employment contract.
