Aboriginal Health Workers, three Registered Nurses, and an Enrolled Nurse are available for support. On-site pathology is available, and == The Practice == also has a variety of visiting Allied Health staff. Patients range from infants to the elderly, and 60% of patients are non-Aboriginal. Flexible work arrangements are on offer: 9.00am to 1.00pm - 2.00pm to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. On call VMO roster is one in four days and one in four weekends. Additional remuneration is provided for on-call work. The bulk-billing clinic is located in purpose-built premises, featuring three well-equipped consulting rooms. It is fully-computerised and has a pharmacy directly opposite. The population is approximately 4800 inclusive of 25% Aboriginal persons. It is home to the largest combined rodeo and campdraft in the southern hemisphere! There is a significant horse industry and a number of famous stud farms in the precinct too. The town is also central to three of the State's best natural environs - the Warrumbungles, the Pilliga Forest and the Macquarie Marshes. Excellent day trips can be made to go camping, bushwalking, bird-watching exploring salt caves or finding one of the popular bore baths. The Shire has five primary and secondary schools offering quality education. Preschool and Childcare facilities are also available. In addition, The Western Institute of TAFE has a large number of courses available for post secondary study. A network of medical professionals, including local doctors and visiting specialists, supports the local Hospital. The shire also has a nursing and retirement home, community respite care outlets and home help outlets. == Essential Criteria == In order to be eligible for this exciting role, International Medical Graduates are required to hold post graduate qualifications in General Practice (i.e. FRACGP, FRNZCGP, MRCGP, MICGP or CCFP), or alternatively hold General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). General Practitioners who have recognised post graduate qualifications from New Zealand, the UK, Ireland or Canada are eligible for reciprocal recognition with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Wavelength International will assist you with the required regulatory and immigration process.
