You?d be working for a rural AMS in Queensland ? and they are looking for a locum GP ASAP through until Christmas - any three week period will be considered. The Clinic You will work in the organisation?s main clinic (north of Cairns) ? however you will get the opportunity to see lots of the region as you?ll also work at a couple of the out-reach clinics in nearby towns (usually 2-3 days per week). You may also be able to conduct some home visits along with program staff. Hours are generally 8.30am ? 5pm, Monday to Friday, and there is no after hours or weekend work required. Accommodation, car and all travel expenses are paid for, and a daily rate of $1200 is provided. You?ll be working alongside 2 FTE doctors (who also travel between the sites) ? as well as RNs, a midwife, an EN, Indigenous Health Workers (both male and female), Drug and Alcohol workers and a full complement of administration staff. The clinic is computerised using Medical Director 3. == The Location == Visitors are attracted to the district by the variety of wildlife. The early mornings are perfect for bird watching and, if you're quiet, you may spot a platypus in a creek, or a musky rat-kangaroo foraging on the forest floor.
