The hospital has a high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur due to its regional location. == The Position ==: This position allows you the choice to either work full time or in a 0.5 capacity so you can fit work in with your lifestyle. You will join a large team of eight consultants and four registrars. Your duties will include providing anaesthetic services to theatre lists including general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, ENT and paediatric surgery. This will be done through the use of general, regional and local anaesthetic techniques. You will only be required to be on call 1:7 which means plenty of free time to enjoy the lifestyle Australia is famous for! Your role would include the training of junior medical staff, nursing, medical and allied health students as well as the supervision of anaesthetic interns, GP anaesthetic trainees and anaesthetic registrars. In addition to this you will be required to participate in undergraduate teaching program for medical students of the Melbourne University Department of Rural Health. == The Location ==: You will be living in a friendly, relaxed town of 60,000 people just a two hour drive North of Melbourne.
