Currently the O&G department consists of two Consultant O&Gs with plans of increasing it to three and an oncall of 1:3. You will work closely with the Clinical Director (who has recently relocated from the UK) and two Consultant O&Gs who are placed at the nearby accredited teaching hospital. The combined Area Health Service delivers 1,100 babies annually and provides acute and elective care for women. You will work in a welcoming and supportive environment with attractive professional conditions. This role will suit a post fellowship Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who preferably has a specialist interest in urodynamics. The Hospital: You will work at 130 bed community hospital and an Area Health Service that incorporates an additional 160 bed accredited teaching hospital, an attached rural clinical school and a 70 bed private facility. The service provides high quality health care and specialist services to a combined catchment area of 100,000 people. == The Location ==: The hospital is situated in the largest city in north-western Tasmania, occupying a prime position on the mighty Mersey River.
