You will manage a team of psychiatrists and train medical staff to ensure that the pre-established high standard of quality of care is upheld. The service has a 12 bed Inpatient Unit and extensive community based services catering for population of approximately 70,000 people. The service is supported by two Staff Psychiatrists, Specialist VMOs and a Hospital Medical Officer. The Hospital also has accreditation to enable an Advanced Registrar to be appointed. The Hospital You will be working in a 146 bed, level 1 tertiary teaching hospital. On offer to the people of the town are a comprehensive range of services. This includes emergency, maternity, intensive care, general medicine and surgery, medical imaging, pathology, dialysis, mental health (inpatient and community services) and a range of ambulatory services. == The Location == You will be living in the beautiful wine belt region of North West Victoria. Located on the banks of the pristine Murray River this town is approximately 600 kilometres from Melbourne and 380 kilometres from Adelaide.
