Presently there are 2 orthopaedic surgeons, 3 registrars and a Fellow. The hospital is in the midst of a major redevelopment with a number of state-of-art theatres being built, an improved ICU and a new ED due for completion in 2015.  This role would suit an enthusiastic go-getter motivated in building up a strong public and private practice for the region; the patient base is there and ready to be tapped in to. The orthopaedic department is the major trauma centre for the region and sees an array of agricultural and road incidents as well as general orthopaedics (upper and lower limb).   In order to be eligible for this position you must hold FRACS and be eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA. The orthopaedic department are striving to gain accreditation and endeavour to be the most sought after regional training site in the state. With this comes a management and teaching opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level.
