This rapidly growing organisation serves some of the world?s most recognisable multinationals and governments and is globally respected for their quality of patient care.  The Regional Medical Director, Medical Services (RMDMS) has overall responsibility for the quality and efficiency of all remote site medical delivery and staffing platforms to client organisations across the region. Leading a senior clinical leadership team, the RMDMS has ultimate responsibility for providing a framework of clinical governance for all 90+ sites throughout Australasia and ensuring operational delivery of medical services and patient care meets the appropriate standards of medical quality. This role also has overall responsibility for the resourcing, training and medical staff planning for all sites in the region. The RMDMS will support business development and account management activity and will play a central role in directing the organisation in the region. Reporting administratively to the Regional Managing Director, Australasia and functionally to the Group Medical Director Medical Services, the Regional Medical Director will lead, manage and work closely with a senior clinical leadership team consisting of Medical Directors across Australasia, plus a Mental Health Services team, occupational health, Director of Nursing as well as a team of senior and chief medical officers and advisers. This is a very important leadership role and central to the continued success and growth of the organisation within the region. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive medical leadership experience, ideally gained working in both developed and developing world medical environments. They will demonstrate an understanding of managing complex remote site medical services and working with a diverse and broad spectrum of medical practitioners. With the ability to transfer medical leadership skills to a commercial organisation the successful candidate will be respected for their clinical expertise most likely gained within senior specialist medical roles. While not a pre-requisite, it will be advantageous to have worked in a commercial environment and be able to demonstrate client account management skills. Other Regional Medical Directors within the organisation have backgrounds within academic medicine, emergency, occupational health, the military, government, aid agencies and oil & gas.  The ideal candidate for this position will offer similar or complimentary experience. It is expected you will possess postgraduate qualifications either in the form of specialty training or a Masters of Occupational Health, Masters of Health Management or similar. As important as the technical and leadership skills will be the culture fit.
