The hospital also provides a training ground for medical interns, nursing and midwifery students from two universities. == The Position ==: You will take up a general anaesthetist role that includes duties such as pre-operative assessment and operating theatre services including obstetric analgesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Department Resuscitation. Whilst there is an intensivist at the hospital, you will also be required to provide cover for ICU. You will have the choice of a fixed term position (minimum of 6 months) or a permanent position. Your team will consist of nine other consultants, five registrars and three trainees who are there on a rotational basis. You will get paid to be on call 1:5 but only work 1:7. == The Location ==: You will be living and working in the south of New Zealand?s South Island.
