It employs approximately 2700 staff to deliver healthcare over four sites. Ancillary staff are employed by contractors. Currently there are over 900 resourced beds in the four locations. The base hospital that is advertising this role has a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit and Neonatal Unit amongst other services. The District Health Board provides some tertiary services such as the Regional Cancer Treatment Service and Renal Service and we are one of the largest trauma centres in New Zealand.
