You will earn $1500 per day inc on call  + 650 per weekend day on call or 75% of total billings generated on completion of assignment, whichever is the greater. You will be oncall over the weekend. Accommodation, travel and a car will be provided. If you would like to bring your family and share your experience accommodation can be arranged. The Health Centre == The Practice == is the only medical practice in the town so you will see a wide range of patients ranging from paediatrics to geriatrics, and everything in between.  As the population is predominantly employed within the local mining industry you will deal with occupational health management, pre-employment medicals and some injury management.  == The Practice == also dispenses pharmaceuticals as there is no chemist in town and the GPs supervise this activity. You will be supported by a friendly team of two receptionists, a practice manager and you will be working along side another GP. The community health centre is equipped with a treatment/A&E room. Pathology is done off-site and results are normally returned same day. Nursing cover is 24/7. GPs also visit a practice in the neighbouring town 3 times a week. This practice is supported by a clinic nurse, reception staff has a well equipped treatment and consult room. == The Practice == utilises Zedmed. Telstra network works the best. The on call roster is 1:2 so you will have time off to see all that the West Coast has to offer visitors. Whilst on-call you will provide comprehensive 24-hour coverage to the community hospital located in the same facility as == The Practice ==.  The on-call doctor is called by the nurse on duty. Previous locum?s on call was not very onerous due to excellent triaging by nurses.   All after hour emergencies present to the hospital or a nearby town?s nursing unit. The population is approx 1,600. Severe trauma is evacuated to the District General Hospital which is approximately 1.5 hours from the town. You must have a current ELS, ALS, PALS, EMST or equivalent certificate for credentialing purposes. == The Location == Surrounded by mountains, cool temperature rainforests and national parks, this laid-back mining town is the perfect base to explore the natural wonders of the North West.
