The role will assist the Director of Paediatrics and be supported by junior doctors, interns and first-rate nursing and allied-health staff. This is a truly collegial team who will be on hand to welcome and support you. Your duties will include outpatient clinics and sharing the on-call roster 1:5. With the University campus on-site and involvement in the Northern Clinical Training Network there is excellent opportunity to be involved in research within the department. A sub-speciality interest is desirable.  The Hospital You will join a brand new, $408 million hospital with a new emergency department, outpatients department, birth suites and special care nursery, intensive care unit and coronary care unit, day surgery and operating theatre suite, inpatient surgical and medical wards, renal support services, day oncology, dental, allied health and mental health facilities. The hospital provides services to a population of around 180,424 people residing in a 90,000 km² area. This facility is going through an exciting growth phase, presenting you with the opportunity to contribute to the further development of the department.
